Indigenous Communities
Culturally-Informed, Community-Centered Play
We work collaboratively with Indigenous communities to design respectful, accessible, and culturally meaningful play environments that reflect local traditions where necessary and serve all generations
Working With Indigenous Communities
At Park N Water, we are proud to be a Member of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB)—a commitment that reflects our dedication to meaningful collaboration, cultural respect, and community-driven design.
We work closely with Indigenous communities across Ontario to create inclusive, accessible play and recreation spaces that reflect local values, traditions, and goals. Whether it’s incorporating culturally significant elements, naming features in local languages, or adding honourable mentions that celebrate community history, we take a thoughtful, consultative approach every step of the way.
Our goal is to design spaces that serve all generations—places where children can thrive, families can gather, and community pride shines through.

“We look at our youth and families who will utilize this space on a daily basis throughout the summer. We’re always thinking about safety, we’re always thinking about our future generations, and how we can help benefit our community. It’s not done without a lot of partnerships… and utilizing many programs within MCA. We are truly grateful and honoured. You can just see (success) by the kids faces.”
